AI is complicated. We make it simple.
This is a weekly newsletter about using AI to give you a calmer, more profitable business.
Less tedium. More profitum.
What is this? I’m glad you asked.
Signals in the Noise is a short weekly email that turns the noise of AI news and automation into tools you and your team can actually use to clear boring busywork off all your to do lists.
Think of it as “Anti-tedium spray” for your business.
Isn’t that what AI is supposed to be used for anyway? Automate the drudgery so that you and your employees can focus on doing things that only humans can do.
So, here's the deal: There are 127 AI YouTubers, 142 AI newsletters, roughly 4,000 self-appointed "AI experts," and an average of 527 new AI articles published every day, and they’re all shouting about the same tools from slightly different directions.
This is an AI newsletter that doesn’t yell at you.
I mean, there’s a lot of AI hustle bro energy out there, eh? This is not that. I’m like the opposite of an AI hustle bro.
Look, you run a business. You and your team don't have time to keep up-to-date with all the new releases of AI models and test all of the new tools that come out every week to find the one thing that would actually help your business grow today.
And the thing is, the tools change literally every week. Last week Claude was on top. This week it’s ChatGPT. Next week it’ll be a new, almost fully conscious, multi-agent Chinese model that can do your taxes and your laundry at the same time.
So the little bit you or one of your employees did figure out a month ago is already outdated.
What happens, then, is that the tedious work in your business remains on the to-do lists: the follow-up emails, the data entry, the copy-paste-from-one-app-to-the-next busywork that eats hours you and your team could be spending on things that only humans can do…things that will increase your revenue.
Could you and your employees figure all this AI and automation stuff out yourself? Sure. I mean, if you guys have an extra 40 hours a week and you enjoy watching AI videos on Youtube and testing set ups and workflows.
But you're busy running your business. What you need is someone to sift through the latest news and tools, test what actually works, and show your team, in plain language, how to safely put the good systems to work automating boring tasks in your business.
That someone is me. Hi! I’m Forest Linden, a local friendly guy that baby goats like to stand on. Outside of being a goat platform, I’ve helped entrepreneurs learn complicated technology, and create winning marketing strategies, for the last 19 years.

In every issue of Signals In The Noise, I take complicated things from the world of AI and automation and turn them into plain English aimed squarely at saving time for you and your team, which will make your business run way more efficiently and profitably.
I wrote 100 issues of Signals In The Noise over the last handful of years. It was previously focused on finding the best things on the web that could help entrepreneurs in about 10 different categories, from marketing strategy, to conversion copywriting, to SEO, to product launching, and AI.
I took a break from writing it over the last 2 years, and am now coming back full gas, with a focus on AI, because in all my years of helping entrepreneurs with tech stuff, I’ve never seen any tech with the potential that AI has to make your life as a business owner so much easier.
In addition to step-by-step tutorials on how to integrate AI workflows into your company, I’ll also bring you some of the latest news about things in the AI space that could help your business. News you can use. Tools and tips and tactics, and other things that start with the letter “t,” without the hyped up AI FOMO fear.
I won’t report on all the latest AI version releases and frontier AI company CEO drama, though. There’s plenty of people that do that already. I’ll just share newsy things from the world of AI when it’s about something new that can actually help you move the needle.
Me going out into the wild west of AI land and bringing you back just the good things is the whole idea behind the name: there's a cacophony of noise out there, and my job is to find the clear signals and send them to you. Signals about AI things that can bring more peace and calm into your daily workflows.
No hype. No hustle-bro posts promising to 10x your business by Tuesday. (Best I can do is 7X by Friday.)
Last thing: there’s a lot of hate towards AI out there. I get it. I personally don’t like a lot of morally bankrupt uses of AI myself, particularly when people use it in ways that take business away from artists, like posting AI slop generated photography on social media as if the photos are real, which is an outright lie in my view.
But not all uses of AI are bad. It’s like electricity. There are good uses and bad uses of it.
That was the big promise of AI in the beginning: to automate tedious work so we could spend more time creating things, but somewhere along the way, a bunch of tedious people started using it to automate creative work.
My purpose is to steer AI back towards the boring, tedious work so you and your team can create magical things that will grow your business and make life better for everyone.
